Baloch Yakjehti Committee Protests in Balochistan
Protest Rally in Yakmach City
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) organized a protest rally in Yakmach City, Chagai district, Balochistan, against enforced disappearances by the Pakistan armed forces. The rally began at a high school and moved towards CPEC Road, with many people joining in solidarity.
Previous Protests and Challenges
A similar protest occurred in Dalbandin, Balochistan, demanding the release of victims. During these protests, internet services were disrupted, and the Pakistani armed forces used violence to suppress the demonstrations. Despite these challenges, the BYC remains committed to exposing state atrocities.
Call for Unity
Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch called on the public to join the protests, resulting in significant participation from Chagai district residents. The BYC’s campaign, themed “Breaking the Silence: Standing Against Enforced Disappearances,” continues to fight against oppression and enforced disappearances in the region.
