Baloch Protests Continue Over Agreement with Government in Gwadar
The Baloch protests in Gwadar, Balochistan, have continued for the 7th night following an agreement between the provincial administration and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). Despite the release of 80 protesters, the BYC claims that clashes and roadblocks persist.
BYC leader Mahrang Baloch stated that protests will continue until all demands are met. She added that many supporters are still in custody. A senior Home Department official mentioned that BYC leaders had assured an end to the protests by 11am on Friday.
The government assured that FIRs would be withdrawn and no protesters would be harassed. Additionally, all belongings would be returned, and mobile and internet services would be restored. However, tensions remain high as the BYC continues to demand basic human rights and dignity for the Baloch people.
