Baloch Activists Call for Unity at Gwadar Protest on July 28

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) is organizing a significant protest called the Baloch Raaji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering) in Gwadar on July 28. This event is in response to the alleged Baloch Genocide. A recent report by the Balochistan Post highlights the crisis of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, stating that 19 individuals have gone missing in the past two weeks. The report also mentions that four kidnapped individuals were released, while six bodies were found.

The areas most affected by these disappearances include Awaran, Dera Bugti, Kalat, Kech, Gwadar, Mastung, and Khuzdar. The fear of being kidnapped has left nearly every family in Balochistan terrified. Thousands of children await the return of their missing fathers, and activists like Sammi Deen Baloch have spent years campaigning for their safe release.

Sammi Deen Baloch is now leading the protests and has urged all Baloch people to join the rally in Gwadar on July 28. She emphasized the importance of unity in these times of oppression. Another key activist, Mahrang Baloch, also called for unity, stating that it is the national duty of every Baloch to participate in the protest to prove their Balochism and fight against the ongoing genocide.

The bi-weekly report paints a grim picture for the Baloch community, highlighting that they are not safe even in their homes or in countries that should offer sanctuary. Thousands have fallen victim to enforced disappearances, and the numbers continue to grow.
