Bajaj Auto’s Two-Wheeler Sales Grow in June 2024, But Exports Decline

Bajaj Auto, a major vehicle manufacturer in India, saw a 7% increase in domestic two-wheeler sales in June 2024 compared to June 2023. The company sold 1,77,207 units in June 2024, up from 1,66,292 units in June 2023.

However, total sales, including exports, experienced a slight decline from May 2024. In June 2024, Bajaj Auto sold 3,03,646 two-wheelers, a minor decrease from the 3,05,482 units sold in May 2024. The company exported 1,26,439 vehicles in June 2024, a 1% drop from the 1,27,357 units exported in June 2023.

Despite the downturn in two-wheeler sales, Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicle segment performed well. The company sold 54,831 commercial vehicles in June 2024, a 16% increase from the 47,332 units sold in June 2023. This growth was driven by strong demand in the commercial vehicle sector.

Overall, while Bajaj Auto’s domestic two-wheeler market showed positive growth in June 2024, the company faced challenges in its export markets and in maintaining the momentum from the previous month. At the time of reporting, Bajaj Auto’s share price on the National Stock Exchange had risen by Rs 104, reaching Rs 9603 per share.
