On November 17, a large number of devotees gathered at the Shri Badrinath Dham temple in Uttarakhand, India, as the temple’s doors were set to close for the winter season at 9:07 PM. Before the closure, Lord Badri Vishal was adorned with flowers, and all ornaments and clothes were removed. After 8:00 PM, Mata Laxmi was to be seated in the sanctum sanctorum, while the idols of Uddhav and Kuber ji would move to Bamni. The temple was beautifully decorated with 15 quintals of marigold flowers.

Earlier, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed for winter on Bhai Dooj, with Vedic rituals and the Indian Army band’s devotional tunes. The doors of Gangotri Dham closed on November 2, and the holy Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib and Lokpal Laxman temple closed on October 10. The second Kedar Madmaheshwar Ji will close on November 20.
