Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to Play for Vancouver Knights in GT20 Canada 2024
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are set to join the Vancouver Knights for the GT20 Canada 2024 tournament. Rizwan, who has experience as the captain of Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League, will lead the team.
The Vancouver Knights announced, “Hear ye, hear ye! The Vancouver Knights have chosen their captain for GT20 Season 4: Sir @iMRizwanPak! With his mighty batting skills and sharp wicketkeeping, he’s ready to lead our charge to victory. Prepare for battle, Knights.”
Other notable players in the team include Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir and Asif Ali, as well as international talents like New Zealand’s Michael Rippon, South Africa’s Dwaine Pretorius, Namibia’s Ruben Trumpelmann, and Guyana’s Jeremy Gordon.
Both Azam and Rizwan are looking to bounce back after a disappointing T20 World Cup, where Pakistan failed to advance past the group stage. The GT20 Canada 2024 will run from July 25 to August 11, with the Knights’ first match against the Toronto Nationals on the opening day.
