Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader, was shot dead on October 12 near his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The gang led by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the murder.
