Baba Siddique Murder Case: Arrests and Court Proceedings in Mumbai
In Mumbai, Maharashtra, another suspect in the murder case of former Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique has been arrested. The Mumbai police announced on Sunday that 28-year-old Pravin Lonkar was apprehended in Pune. Pravin is the brother of Shubham Lonkar, who is also involved in the conspiracy. The plot included enlisting Dharmaraj Kashyap and Shivkumar Gautam, according to the police.
Baba Siddique was shot and sustained gunshot wounds to his chest. He was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital around 9:30 pm on Saturday but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Dr. Jalil Parkar from Lilavati Hospital stated that upon arrival, Siddique’s vital signs were unrecordable, and he was immediately moved to the ICU.
In related developments, Mumbai’s Esplanade Court has remanded Gurmail Singh, another accused in the case, to Mumbai Crime Branch custody until October 21. Both Gurmail Singh and Dharmraj Singh Kashyap were presented in court, and the court has ordered an ossification test for the second accused. Additionally, another suspect, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, has been identified in connection with the case.
