Ayodhya’s Grand Deepotsav Celebration
In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, preparations are underway for a spectacular Deepotsav festival along the Sarayu River. This year, 55 ghats will be illuminated with over 2.5 million lamps, surpassing last year’s 51 ghats. The event is significant as it follows the consecration of Balak Ram in the temple.
Grand Celebrations and World Record Attempt
Deepotsav’s Nodal Officer, SS Mishra, announced that the festival will be celebrated on a grand scale, with Lord Ram seated in a grand palace. Over 32,000 volunteers from Awadh University will help set a new world record. On October 30, a day before Diwali, 30,000 people will light around 2.8 million lamps simultaneously, aiming to break a world record.
Guinness World Records Involvement
The Guinness World Records team will arrive on October 29 to count the lamps using drones. They will witness the record attempt and present a certificate to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Community Participation
This year, 10,000 people will be allowed to participate in the celebrations, with a viewing gallery being constructed at Ram Ki Paidi. The state government is ensuring the event is historic and memorable.
