Ayodhya’s Grand Deepotsav Celebration
This year, Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, India, is preparing for a grand Deepotsav celebration. The event will feature 18 colorful tableaux depicting important events from the life of Lord Ram. These displays aim to showcase the rich cultural heritage and devotion associated with this festival.
Tableaux and Cultural Highlights
Among the 18 tableaux, 11 are being crafted by the Information Department, and 7 by the Tourism Department. The displays will include significant moments such as Lord Ram’s education, his marriage to Sita, his exile, and his triumphant return to Ayodhya. The Tourism Department will also present seven chapters from the Tulsikrit Ram Charit Manas.
Eco-Friendly and International Participation
This year, the tableaux are being made from degradable materials as part of a green initiative. International artists from six countries will perform during the international Ram Leela, adding a global touch to the celebrations.
Record-Breaking Diyas and Festivities
Ayodhya’s Divisional Commissioner, Gaurav Dayal, announced that 25 lakh diyas will be lit along the Sarayu River, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record. The event will include a drone show, aarti by 1100 people, and various cultural programs starting from October 28. The main event will be on October 30, with rehearsals on October 29.
