In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, preparations are in full swing for the grand Deepotsav celebration at the newly built Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple. The temple is beautifully lit with colorful lights, enhancing the splendor of Lord Ram’s birthplace.
Deepotsav and Diwali Festivities
The Deepotsav is scheduled for October 30, just a day before Diwali. A spectacular laser show narrating the Ramayan was organized at Ram ki Paidi, Naya Ghat, adding to the grandeur of the event.
Lighting of Diyas
The Animal Husbandry Department has pledged to light 1.5 lakh cow dung diyas during the Deepotsav. On Monday, Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh met with Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi to present cow dung diyas and other cow-based products, marking a significant step in cow conservation and promotion.
The Yogi-led government aims to light over 35 lakh diyas in Ayodhya, with 28 lakh diyas illuminating 55 ghats along the Saryu River, setting a new world record. The Chief Minister praised the department’s commitment to this grand celebration.
Viewing the Temple Decorations
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has announced that devotees can view the temple’s splendid decorations from October 29 to November 1, with access available until midnight through Gate No. 4B (Luggage Scanner Point).
Diwali Celebrations
This year, Ayodhya will illuminate 55 ghats along the Sarayu River, with over two million lamps ready. Preparations for the Deepotsav festival are in full swing, aiming to light over 2.5 million lamps during Diwali. Ninety-five percent of the ghat decorations are complete, and a special feature of this year’s Deepotsav is the participation of 10,000 people, with a viewing gallery under construction at Ram Ki Paidi.
