The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the appointment of Aviral Jain as its new Executive Director, effective from October 1, 2024. Before this promotion, Jain was the Regional Director for Maharashtra.

With over 30 years of experience, Jain has expertise in supervision, currency management, foreign exchange regulation, and human resource management. In his new role, he will oversee the Legal Department, Premises Department, and act as the First Appellate Authority under the Right to Information Act.

Jain holds a postgraduate degree in economics and has earned certificates in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Customer (KYC) and Capital Markets. He is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF).
