Assam Signs MoU for Training Revenue Officials

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Law University and the Judicial Academy, and the Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre. This agreement aims to provide training to revenue officials in Assam.

The MoU was signed at the Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre in Guwahati. Assam Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Jogen Mohan, and the Vice Chancellor of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, were present at the event.

Statements from Officials

Jogen Mohan stated, “Under the leadership of Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, we are committed to ensuring the protection of the indigenous people of the state. Today is a historic day. The capacity building training programme for the officers will be started soon. This MoU will help the state Revenue department.”

Flood Situation in Assam

Jogen Mohan also addressed the current flood situation in Assam, mentioning that the situation is under control with floods affecting 9-10 districts. He said, “We have provided relief materials to the flood-affected people. We have also provided compensation to the people through DBT. We will provide the amount of damage in flood to 3 lakh people within a short time.”
