Assam Rifles Hosts ‘A Day with Assam Rifles’ for Students in Tripura
The Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ 21 Sect AR, organized an event called ‘A Day with Assam Rifles’ for NCC cadets and school students in Kumarghat district, Tripura, on July 13, 2024. The event aimed to inspire students to join the armed forces by providing them with an insight into the life of a soldier and familiarizing them with the Military Way of Life.
A total of 158 students participated in the event and visited the Garrison. To further promote sports in the North East region, the Assam Rifles also organized the first-ever Assam Rifles Annual Women’s Football Tournament. Teams from Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, and Assam Rifles participated in the tournament.
