Assam Rifles Discover Ammunition and Explosives in Manipur’s Tengnoupal
In an intelligence-based operation, Assam Rifles successfully recovered a significant cache of ammunition and explosives in the Tengnoupal district of Manipur. The operation took place on October 1 in the Senam village area.
Details of the Operation
According to the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), the operation was initiated based on specific intelligence about the presence of arms and explosives. Using advanced explosive detection equipment and trained dogs, the Assam Rifles team conducted a thorough search.
Items Recovered
The search led to the recovery of 15 large Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), 42 country-made grenades, firearms, and various types of ammunition. Additionally, hand grenades, pistols, detonators, and other war-like items were seized.
All recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and action.
