The Assam Police made significant strides in their fight against drugs with two major operations. In Karimganj district, they seized 102 kg of ganja from a truck and arrested Sahebjee Tripura. A senior police official stated that the truck was intercepted at the Churaibari checkpoint along the Assam-Tripura border, where 46 packets of ganja were found in a secret chamber.
In another operation in the Jalalpur area, the police seized 1 lakh Yaba tablets and arrested three individuals. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated the police on their commitment to a ‘Drug Free Assam’. He posted on X, praising the police for acting on credible information and intercepting a vehicle from a neighboring state.
