Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Criticizes Congress at Haryana Rally
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, during a public rally in Sonipat, Haryana, launched a strong attack on the Congress party and its leaders, including Rahul and Sonia Gandhi. He accused Congress of trying to divide the country through its policies.
Sarma praised the people of Haryana for their contributions to national security, especially in protecting India’s borders. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections, calling it ‘the election of the golden path.’
He thanked the people of Haryana for supporting the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections, despite the party losing the Sonipat seat. Sarma criticized Congress leaders for misleading people to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but noted that the people of India did not believe these lies and re-elected Modi.
Sarma took a swipe at the Gandhi family, particularly Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, saying their dreams of forming a government were dashed. He also criticized Congress candidates with dual identities, warning that they would turn areas into ‘mini Bangladesh’ or ‘mini Pakistan’ if elected.
He drew attention to the Israel-Palestine conflict, comparing it to the situation in Kashmir, and criticized Mehbooba Mufti for her stance on the issue. Sarma also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s comments on constitutional issues, particularly regarding reservations for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Haryana goes to polls on October 5 to elect a 90-member state legislative assembly, with the counting set to take place on October 8.
