Asian Cricket Council Launches Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has made a significant move to promote women’s cricket by announcing the launch of the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup. This decision was made during the ACC Executive Board Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Women’s U19 Asia Cup will be held every two years and will serve as a key tournament before each ICC Women’s U19 World Cup. This initiative aims to provide young female cricketers in Asia with crucial international experience, helping them perform better on the world stage.
This groundbreaking initiative will also enhance the visibility of women’s cricket in the region, further advancing its growth and popularity. For the first time, the ACC has established a structured pathway for young female cricketers, reflecting its commitment to promoting gender equality and nurturing talent at all levels.
