Congress Leader Ashok Tanwar Confident in Haryana Elections
In Sirsa, Haryana, Congress leader Ashok Tanwar expressed strong confidence in the Congress party’s success in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. After casting his vote, Tanwar stated, “Congress will get a minimum of 75 seats. There is an atmosphere of change and Congress will definitely get great success.”
Tanwar, who was previously a BJP leader, rejoined Congress in the presence of senior observer Ajay Maken. He criticized the BJP for using religion and caste in politics, highlighting the Congress’s efforts like the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, which he believes have strengthened the party’s position.
Voting in Haryana began at 7 AM and will continue until 6 PM, with 1,031 candidates contesting across 90 constituencies. The election results will be announced on October 8, alongside those of Jammu and Kashmir.
