The Central Election Committee of the BJP has announced Asha Nautiyal as their candidate for the upcoming by-election in the Kedarnath Assembly constituency in Uttarakhand. On the same day, the Congress party declared that former MLA Manoj Rawat would be their candidate for the Kedarnath bypoll. This decision was approved by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. The by-election is scheduled for November 20, with the vote counting to occur on November 23.
