New Delhi, India – Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), will soon vacate the Chief Minister’s residence in Delhi’s Civil Line area. He is searching for a new home near the New Delhi assembly constituency, where he is also an MLA. The party announced that many people, including MLAs, councillors, and common citizens, are offering their homes to Kejriwal.

On September 17, Kejriwal resigned as Chief Minister and handed his resignation to Delhi LG VK Saxena. Atishi, who was named as his successor, took the oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi on September 22. In an emotional gesture, Atishi placed an empty chair beside her CM chair, symbolizing Kejriwal’s presence. She expressed confidence that Kejriwal would return as Chief Minister in the upcoming assembly elections, likely to be held in February 2025.

Atishi, 43, is the third woman to become Chief Minister of Delhi, following Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.
