Arvind Kejriwal Criticizes BJP for Inducting ‘Corrupt’ Leaders

Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, launched a strong criticism against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for including leaders with corruption allegations. During his speech in the Delhi assembly, Kejriwal questioned RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat about the BJP’s actions.

Kejriwal mentioned a letter he wrote to Bhagwat, asking, “Is Mohan Bhagwat satisfied with Modi ji’s decision to induct the most corrupt leaders in the BJP by scaring them through ED and CBI?” He cited examples like Ajit Pawar, who was accused of a Rs 70,000 crore scam but later joined BJP and became deputy CM, and Himanata Biswa Sarma, who joined BJP despite corruption allegations.

Kejriwal further criticized the RSS, saying that its members’ roles are now limited to “laying carpets” for leaders joining BJP. He urged the RSS to take responsibility for the BJP’s actions and questioned if they ever stopped Modi from doing wrong things.

Kejriwal also accused the BJP of using agencies like ED and CBI to threaten opposition parties and emphasized the need for ethical governance and political stability. Notably, Kejriwal is currently out on bail in connection to the Excise Policy case, which alleges irregularities in the Delhi excise policy (2021-22). After securing bail, Kejriwal resigned from his CM post, and Atishi took over as the chief minister.
