In an exciting ICC Women’s T20 World Cup match held in Dubai, the Indian bowlers delivered a stellar performance against Pakistan. Arundhati Reddy led the charge with an impressive 3 wickets for 19 runs in her four overs. Shreyanka Patil also contributed significantly by taking 2 wickets.

Renuka Singh, Deepti Sharma, and Asha Sobhana each took a wicket, helping India restrict Pakistan to a total of 105/8. Pakistan, after choosing to bat first, struggled to find their rhythm and lost wickets at regular intervals.

Renuka Singh made an early breakthrough by dismissing Gull Feroza for a duck in the first over. Deepti Sharma then removed Sidra Amin for 8, leaving Pakistan at 29/2 after the powerplay. Arundhati Reddy dismissed Omaima Sohail for 3, and Shreyanka Patil stumped Muneeba Ali for 17, reducing Pakistan to 41/4 in 9.3 overs.

Despite some resistance from Captain Fatima Sana, who scored 13 off 8 balls, and Nida Dar, who top-scored with 28 runs, Pakistan could only manage 105/8 in their 20 overs. India was penalized for a slow over-rate, requiring an extra fielder inside the ring.

India now needs 106 runs to win the match against their arch-rivals.
