Archana Patil Chakurkar Confident in Latur Assembly Election

Archana Patil Chakurkar, the BJP candidate from Latur, Maharashtra, is optimistic about her victory in the upcoming assembly elections on November 20. She is the daughter-in-law of former Lok Sabha Speaker Shivraj Patil and is contesting against Congress MLA Amit Deshmukh, son of former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Archana expressed her confidence, stating, “I have absolute confidence in our victory. The party I am representing is not only the largest in India, but also the biggest democratic party in the world.” She emphasized the need for a leader who is accessible to solve local issues, such as Latur’s water problem and garbage management. She plans to adopt Indore’s successful cleanliness model to address these issues.

Latur is traditionally a Congress stronghold, with the Deshmukh brothers contesting from Latur Rural and Latur City. The elections will see the opposition MVA alliance, including Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP, challenging the ruling Mahayuti alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar-led NCP. The election results will be announced on November 23.
