Anurag Thakur Celebrates BJP’s Success in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir Elections
New Delhi, October 8: BJP MP Anurag Thakur expressed his gratitude to the people for supporting the BJP in the recent elections. He credited the success to the policies of Prime Minister Modi, which he believes have been beneficial for the party. Thakur criticized the Congress’ ‘Khata-Khat’ model, stating it failed in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana.
Thakur highlighted the BJP’s strong performance in the Jammu region, despite some shortcomings. He praised the record voter turnout in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the strength of India’s democracy. The National Conference-Congress alliance won the majority in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, securing 48 seats, with the BJP winning 29 seats.
In Haryana, the BJP achieved an absolute majority by winning 48 out of 90 seats, while Congress secured 37 seats. The BJP is now set to form its third consecutive government in the state.
