Andhra Pradesh Road and Housing Minister BC Janardhan Reddy is leading a high-level delegation on a two-day visit to Gujarat. The purpose of the visit is to study road infrastructure and new technology-enabled operations in road construction.

Meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister

During the visit, Minister Reddy met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. They discussed various projects, including the development of Gandhinagar, the construction of the Swarnim Complex, and advanced construction works of Central Vista, Mahatma Mandir, and Gandhinagar Railway Station.

Site Visits

The delegation also visited Gift City to observe ongoing construction works. Key officials from both states, including Principal Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Transport and Road Building Department Kantilal Dande and Chief Minister’s Secretary Avantika Singh, were present at the meeting.

Funding for Road Projects

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently approved significant funding for urban and rural road projects. This includes Rs 255.06 crore for three municipal corporations under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana. Additionally, Rs 668.3 crore has been allocated for the construction of concrete roads in various villages to address issues caused by water logging and heavy traffic.
