Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pavan Kalyan Promises Solutions for Uppada Sea Erosion
On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pavan Kalyan visited the Uppada coastal area to address the sea erosion problem. He directed officials to find a permanent solution and assured the public of the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises.
Inspection and Discussions
Kalyan, along with officials from the Maritime Board, the Central Ministry of Earth Sciences, and revenue officials, discussed the causes and remedies for sea erosion. He suggested conducting a scientific survey to start the work and gave appropriate instructions to the authorities.
Public Welfare and Promises
The people of Uppada and other coastal villages warmly welcomed Kalyan. He stated, “I am committed to the welfare of the public. I am not greedy for money, and I am not a corrupt politician. I will not indulge in any corruption. I will be with you and strive for the welfare of the state.”
Kalyan also shared a recent success story where he helped find a missing child within nine days after ordering an investigation.
Praise for Chief Minister and Criticism of Previous Government
Kalyan praised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his experience and criticized the previous government for its spending, including Rs 600 crores on the Rushikonda palace and a Rs 30 lakh bathtub.
Future Plans
Kalyan announced plans to develop the coastline between Uppada and Kakinada into a tourism hotspot within 18 months, creating job opportunities. He also mentioned purchasing land in Pithapuram for a central office to address public petitions, focusing on missing cases, health, and unemployment.
He concluded by emphasizing the government’s commitment to the welfare of the state and fulfilling its promises.
