Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has made a serious allegation against the previous YSRCP government, claiming they used animal fat in the Tirupati Prasadam. This prasadam is a sacred offering at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati.

Lab Reports Confirm Allegations

TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy shared lab reports that confirmed the use of beef tallow, lard, and fish oil in the ghee supplied to Tirumala. He stated, “The lab reports of samples which were sent for testing to National Dairy Development Board in Gujarat certify that beef tallow and animal fat – lard, and fish oil were used in the preparation of ghee which was supplied to Tirumala.”

Religious Sentiments Hurt

Minister Nara Lokesh, son of CM Naidu, expressed his shock and disappointment on social media, condemning the YSRCP government for disrespecting the religious sentiments of millions of devotees. He wrote, “Shame on ysjagan and the ysrcparty government that couldn’t respect the religious sentiments of crores of devotees.”

The Tirupati temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a form of Lord Vishnu. It is considered one of the most sacred temples, attracting millions of devotees. The NDA alliance, including TDP, Jana Sena (JS), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), recently won the assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh, ousting the YSRCP government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
