Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the families of victims who lost their lives in rain-related incidents. He stated that relief operations are progressing rapidly, with food provided to six lakh people and pregnant women being relocated to safe areas.

Heavy rainfall has caused significant damage, especially in Krishna and Guntur districts. Areas like Singhnagar and Nandamuri Nagar were submerged, forcing nearly two lakh people to seek shelter on terraces.

Naidu held a teleconference with ministers and officials, instructing them to ensure aid reaches all affected households. He also emphasized the need to set up mobile Rythu Bazaars to prevent black marketing and to establish medical camps to prevent diseases.
