Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP’s Jagan Mohan Reddy Clash Over Tirupati Temple Controversy

Amaravathi (Andhra Pradesh), September 22: Amid the Tirupati Prasad adulteration row, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu emphasized his government’s respect for temple sanctity and devotees’ sentiments. He criticized the previous government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly disrespecting people’s feelings and spreading false propaganda.

Naidu accused YSRCP leaders of counterattacking and falsely rebutting issues, including the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy and the Prakasam Barrage boats issue. He claimed that YSRCP leaders engage in fake propaganda and diversional politics.

Naidu stated that upon taking office, he ordered the cleansing of the Seven Hills of Tirumala and improved the quality of the Laddu prasadam by blacklisting certain ghee suppliers. He believes that divine intervention led him to reveal these facts.

Further steps regarding Tirumala are being discussed with religious leaders, and a decision will be made soon. Naidu questioned how former TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy received a clean chit from YSRCP and criticized the previous government’s handling of Tirumala traditions.

Meanwhile, former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing Naidu of tarnishing the reputation of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams for political gain. He called Naidu a habitual liar who has hurt the beliefs of many people.

On September 19, Naidu claimed that the ghee used in Tirupati laddoo prasadam during the previous YSRCP government contained animal fat, sparking political controversy.
