Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Orders Inquiry into Pharma Company Blast in Anakapalli
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a high-level inquiry into a reactor blast incident at a pharma company in Atchutapuram, Anakapalli district. The blast resulted in three deaths and seventeen injuries.
Naidu will visit Achyutapuram to meet the families of the deceased and the injured. He will also inspect the accident site.
Andhra Pradesh Labour, Factories, Boilers & Insurance Medical Services Minister Vasamsetti Subhash stated, “A reactor explosion took place at a private company in Achutapuram in Anakapalli district. Three people were killed and 17 injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to two private hospitals.”
Subhash added that rescue teams are currently unable to enter the premises due to dense smoke, and it is unclear how many people may still be trapped inside. Rescue operations are ongoing.
Andhra Pradesh Governor Abdul Nazeer expressed grief over the loss of lives and injuries. He wished for the speedy recovery of the injured workers and offered condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.
