Andhra CM Naidu Meets Union Ministers Goyal and Kinjarapu in New Delhi

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu in New Delhi on Thursday. They discussed how the NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, can support Andhra Pradesh’s growth.

Goyal expressed his delight in meeting Naidu and praised his leadership for re-energizing Andhra’s development journey. He shared this on X, stating that the discussions focused on ushering in an era of prosperity and growth for the state.

Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), and its support is crucial for the BJP to remain in power at the Centre. The meeting is significant as Naidu has announced plans to rebuild Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, which will require central assistance and clearance.

Naidu recently released a white paper on the Amaravati capital region, explaining that the name ‘Amaravati’ was suggested by Ramoji Rao after research. He highlighted the historical importance of Amaravati, which was previously the capital of the Satavahana dynasty. Naidu mentioned that soil and water from across the state, including soil from Parliament, were used for laying the foundation stone of Amaravati, with Prime Minister Modi laying the foundation stone.
