Andhra CM Naidu and Dy CM Kalyan Promise Big Changes for Andhra Pradesh
On August 5, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced a 100-day target to achieve six major promises made during the assembly elections. These promises include:
- Complete loan waiver for farmers and women under the DWCRA scheme
- Unemployment allowance of Rs 2,000 per month
- Rs 2 lakh financial assistance for housing
- Free electricity for farmers
- Rs 15,000 annual grant for poor families
- Rs 2,000 assistance for every SC, ST, OBC, and minority family
Naidu made this announcement at the District Collectors Conference, where he also mentioned that a vision document for the state will be released on October 2.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s Address
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan highlighted the need to restore the state’s former glory and strengthen governance systems. He criticized the previous government for weakening these systems and emphasized the coalition government’s commitment to public trust.
Kalyan also discussed various initiatives, including:
- Strengthening panchayats and setting up Gram Sabhas in 13,326 village panchayats
- Implementing solid and liquid waste management projects
- Providing drinking water to 5.4 crore households through the Jal Jeevan Mission
- Repairing 4,721 kilometers of roads
- Increasing forest cover, especially in Guntur, Kurnool, and West Godavari districts
Kalyan stressed the importance of cooperation from IAS and IPS officers and the public to achieve a developed Andhra Pradesh and contribute to India’s goal of becoming a superpower by 2047.
