Anantnag Police Help Amarnath Pilgrims and Ensure Safety in Jammu and Kashmir

The Anantnag Police came to the aid of Amarnath pilgrims who were struggling with high altitudes. The police carried the ailing pilgrims and their luggage, ensuring their safety and well-being. They also facilitated the medical evacuation of Mukhtar Ahmad Magray, a pony walla, who fell unconscious at Sheshnag. He was airlifted to Pahalgam for further treatment.

Meanwhile, another batch of Amarnath pilgrims left the Pantha Chowk Srinagar base camp with heightened security measures. On Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Darakshan Andrabi inaugurated a langar at the Baltal Yatra Base Camp and addressed the gathering.

In another incident, a van carrying Amarnath pilgrims met with an accident near Chandanwari, injuring at least two people. The injured were promptly evacuated to a nearby hospital by the Border Security Force (BSF) Quick Response Team.
