Amit Shah’s Appeal to Voters
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called upon the people of Haryana to participate in the Assembly elections to ensure a corruption-free state. In a message, Shah emphasized the importance of each vote in maintaining development and electing a government that reaches every village in Haryana.
High-Stakes Election
Over two crore voters in Haryana will decide if the BJP retains power for a third term or if the Congress returns after a decade. The election is crucial, with the BJP aiming for continuity and the Congress leveraging anti-incumbency sentiments, alongside issues like farmer and wrestler protests.

The main parties in the fray include the BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and alliances like INLD-BSP and JJP-ASP. Voting will occur from 7 am to 6 pm across 20,632 polling booths, with 1,031 candidates contesting 90 constituencies.
Previous Election Results
In 2019, the BJP won 40 seats, forming a coalition with JJP, which secured 10 seats. The Congress won 31 seats. The JJP later exited the coalition. Results will be announced on October 8, alongside Jammu and Kashmir’s elections.
