Amit Shah to Visit Ranchi for BJP Strategy Meeting Ahead of Jharkhand Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Ranchi on July 20 to plan for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. During his visit, he will address the extended meeting of the Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) executive committee at Prabhat Tara Ground around 1 PM. Over 25,000 office bearers from various levels will participate.

The meeting will include all office bearers from the 260 blocks and 27 districts of Jharkhand, along with morchas, organizations, and state-level officials. The BJP aims to showcase its strong organizational structure in the state through this meeting.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who are in charge of the election preparations, have been visiting Jharkhand frequently to engage with leaders and workers.

Earlier, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur criticized the current state government for corruption and lack of development. He stated that despite being a separate state for over two decades, Jharkhand has not achieved the expected development.

In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won eight seats, while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won three, Congress won two, and the All Jharkhand Students Union Party (AJSUP) won one. In the 2020 Assembly elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, BJP won 25, Congress 16, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha three, AJSUP two, and Independents won two seats.
