Amit Shah to Visit Indore for Tree Planting and College Inauguration

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday, July 14. He will participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ program and inaugurate 55 Excellence Colleges for 55 districts in the state.

Tree Planting Event

Shah will first take part in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ program, where a record 11 lakh trees will be planted at the Revati shooting range of the Border Security Force (BSF). This initiative is part of a larger effort called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to plant 140 crore trees across India.

College Inauguration

Following the tree planting, Shah will inaugurate 55 Excellence Colleges at the Atal Bihari Art and Commerce College. State cabinet minister Tulsi Ram Silawat mentioned that this initiative was envisioned by CM Mohan Yadav when he was the Higher Education Minister.

Statements from Officials

Indore Collector Ashish Singh stated that preparations for both events are ongoing. Shah will also address the students during the inauguration ceremony.
