Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to release the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Sankalp Patra’ or manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections in Ranchi. The event is scheduled for Sunday, where Shah will also address election meetings in Ghatshila, Barkatha, and Simariya.

Manifesto Highlights

BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo emphasized that the manifesto will address various groups in Jharkhand, including farmers, women, and youths, focusing on infrastructure and development. He criticized the INDI alliance for not finalizing seat-sharing arrangements, while BJP candidates have already filed nominations.

150 Resolutions

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned that the manifesto will include 150 resolutions, coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda.

Jharkhand’s Financial Concerns

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has urged Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah to clear Rs 1.36 lakh-crore in coal dues to the state, highlighting its importance for Jharkhand’s development.

Election Details

The Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting on November 23. In the last election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, BJP 25, and Congress 16.
