Amit Shah Promises New Law Against Land Transfer to Infiltrators in Jharkhand
In a public rally in Tamar, Jharkhand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is elected to power, they will introduce a law to prevent the transfer of land to ‘infiltrators,’ even if they marry tribal women. Shah emphasized that illegal immigrants are taking jobs meant for the state’s tribal population and are a threat to local resources and safety.
Shah criticized Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for engaging in vote bank politics and claimed that Bangladeshi infiltrators are entering the state. He assured voters that the BJP would take strict action against these infiltrators if elected. Shah stated, “Trust us; we (BJP) do what we say. I promise you today that we will pick out all the infiltrators who have entered Jharkhand.”
Additionally, Shah accused Hemant Soren of disrespecting the tribal community by removing Champai Soren from the Chief Minister post, despite his loyalty and stance against corruption. The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled for November 13 and 20, with results to be announced on November 23. In the last election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, BJP 25, and Congress 16.
