Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the importance of the ‘Drone Didi Scheme’ launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This scheme trains women to use drones for spraying fertilizers in their fields.

Subsidy on Nano Urea and Nano DAP

Speaking at the ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ programme on the 102nd International Cooperative Day, Shah praised the Gujarat government’s decision to provide a 50% subsidy on Nano Urea and Nano DAP. He urged farmers to use these products for better crop health and productivity.

Shah warned against using granular urea after applying Nano Urea, as it could harm crops and soil. He encouraged farmers to take advantage of the reduced prices and switch to liquid Nano Urea and Nano DAP.

New Cooperation Ministry

Shah highlighted the creation of an independent cooperation ministry by PM Modi, a long-standing demand of the cooperative sector. He criticized the previous Congress government for not addressing this need.

Promoting Organic Farming

Shah mentioned that brands like Bharat Organic and Amul are leading the way in offering 100% organic products. These brands aim to revolutionize organic farming in India using global technology.

Financial Efficiency in the Cooperative Sector

To strengthen the cooperative sector, Shah called on NABARD and cooperative banks to open accounts for district cooperative banks and milk production committees. This move aims to enhance financial efficiency and save money within the cooperative framework.

The Gujarat government’s subsidy on Nano Urea and Nano DAP aims to enhance agricultural sustainability, offering farmers the tools and support they need to adopt healthier and more productive farming practices.
