Amit Shah Criticizes Congress and NC, Promises Jobs and Security in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a strong speech against the Congress-National Conference alliance and the People’s Democratic Party during a public rally in Akhnoor. He accused the Gandhi, Mufti, and Abdullah families of allowing terrorism to thrive in Jammu and Kashmir for 35 years.
Shah stated, “Jammu and Kashmir was burning in the fire of terror for 35 years under the rule of these three families: the Gandhi family, Mufti family, and the Abdullah family. Curfew was imposed in Kashmir for 3 thousand days, 40 thousand people, and many army personnel were killed… Prime Minister Modi has buried terrorism under the ground. Today I want to tell these three families that try as hard as you can, even your third generation cannot bring back terrorism.”
He criticized the National Conference’s agenda, which is supported by Rahul Gandhi’s Congress party, for proposing a separate flag, restoring Article 370, and holding talks with Pakistan. Shah also targeted Rahul Gandhi and Farooq Abdullah, accusing them of having their vision endorsed by Pakistan’s Defense Minister.
Shah further accused Congress of being “anti-Dalit” and not respecting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He highlighted that the BJP honored Ambedkar by establishing five places related to him as ‘Panchteerth.’ Shah warned that bringing back Congress or NC would mean a return to the reign of terror in Jammu and Kashmir.
He promised that the government would provide job reservations and promotions for the Pahari, Gujjar, and Bakarwal communities. Shah emphasized the importance of voting, stating, “Your one vote will always boost the morale of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Your one vote will protect the rights of women. Your one vote is to ensure that the reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and Pahari Gujjar brothers continues forever. Your one vote is to give a strong response to Pakistan.”
Shah concluded by stating that the upcoming election is crucial not just for Jammu and Kashmir but for the entire country. He recalled the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, by Prime Minister Modi, which integrated Jammu and Kashmir into India. This election will be the first since that historic event.
