Faridabad (Haryana), September 17: Union Home Minister Amit Shah targeted the Congress party during a public rally in Faridabad, Haryana, ahead of the upcoming assembly polls. Shah accused the Congress of being corrupt and spreading fake narratives.
Accusations Against Congress
Shah claimed that the Congress party falsely stated that Agniveer soldiers would have neither work nor pensions. He clarified that under the Agniveer scheme, soldiers receive 20% reservations in police services. He also accused Congress of playing appeasement politics in Haryana.

Shah emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections on October 5, stating that the vote would decide Haryana’s future. He described the election as a choice between the BJP, which he called a group of patriots, and the Congress, which he labeled as corrupt.
BJP’s Promises
Shah promised that if the BJP is elected for a third term, the party will work for the welfare of OBCs, Dalits, farmers, soldiers, and athletes. He highlighted the development in Faridabad, including a new railway station costing Rs 262 crore and the introduction of seven new trains. He also mentioned that loans were provided to 30,000 street vendors under the PM Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi scheme.
Article 370 and Congress
Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi and his associates for wanting to reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir. He assured that as long as the BJP exists, Article 370 will never be restored.

Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12.
