Amit Shah Criticizes Congress and Defends Agniveer Scheme in Haryana

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke at rallies in Haryana, criticizing the Congress party for not paying minimum support prices (MSP) to farmers, unlike the BJP government in Haryana. He accused Rahul Gandhi of being a ‘factory of lies’ about the Agniveer scheme, which aims to keep the army young. Shah assured that Agniveers would receive pensionable jobs from both the Haryana and Central governments.

Shah also targeted Congress for its stance on the One Rank, One Pension scheme and accused them of running a corrupt regime in Haryana, dominated by ‘dealers, brokers, and sons-in-law.’ He contrasted this with the BJP’s 10 years of youth development and good governance.

Haryana will hold elections on October 5 to elect its 90-member state legislative assembly, with results announced on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 40 seats, while Congress secured 30 seats.
