Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting cleanliness across India. He highlighted that both Mahatma Gandhi and PM Modi, hailing from Gujarat, have emphasized the importance of cleanliness. Shah spoke at a public meeting in Ahmedabad, where he inaugurated development projects worth Rs. 919 crores for Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

Shah mentioned the transformation of schools into ‘Smart Schools’ as a key development, enhancing education for children from poor and middle-class families. He also inaugurated a tele-rehabilitation center for speech therapy at Sola Hospital, benefiting those in remote areas.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed gratitude for the development projects and emphasized the government’s focus on improving the standard of living. He highlighted the creation of smart cities with modern amenities like gardens, sports complexes, and libraries.

During the event, 14 public works worth Rs. 106 crores were launched, including projects for solid waste management, water supply, and vegetable markets. Additionally, 74 public works worth Rs. 341 crores were registered, covering drainage, road, and water projects.
