Amarnath Pilgrims Injured in Van Accident in Jammu and Kashmir

A van carrying Amarnath pilgrims met with an accident near Chandanwari in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, leaving at least two people injured. The Border Security Force (BSF) quickly responded and evacuated the injured to a nearby hospital, saving their lives.

Although the BSF did not specify the number of injured, visuals showed two pilgrims, including a woman, admitted to the hospital. Their identities have not been confirmed.

Earlier in the day, another group of pilgrims left from the Pantha Chowk base camp for the Amarnath yatra with heightened security. Rajesh Gupta, a pilgrim from Delhi, expressed his excitement and satisfaction with the facilities and security provided by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Krishna Kumar, on his 25th journey to Amarnath, praised the transportation and camp facilities, and Ajay Khajuria from Jammu also appreciated the security measures.

The annual 45-day yatra is a significant event, and the government has taken extensive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims amidst recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
