Altaf Hussain Speaks on Pakistan Army and Freedom at MQM Event in London

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain addressed the 46th Foundation Day of the All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization (APMSO) in London. He stated that while every nation needs an army, the Pakistan army should only focus on defense and not interfere in political, economic, and administrative matters.

Hussain criticized the historical division of Muslims and Hindus in the subcontinent and the ongoing influence of corrupt generals and feudal lords in Pakistan. He highlighted the struggles of ‘mohajirs’ and accused the military and ISI of forming armed groups to create conflicts against them.

He also expressed opposition to Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, warning that it would lead to further instability in Pakistan. The event saw a warm welcome for Hussain, with participants waving MQM flags, chanting slogans, and singing the organizational anthem.
