Regarding the Maharashtra Assembly polls, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the SP would contest only in areas where they have a strong presence. He criticized the BJP over the Bahraich incident, suggesting it was planned due to the upcoming elections.

The Uttar Pradesh bypolls will occur in nine Assembly seats, including Karhal, with voting on November 13 and counting on November 23. The Election Commission has announced bypolls for nine of the ten vacant seats, excluding Milkipur in Ayodhya due to a pending election petition.
