Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes UP Government Over Farrukhabad Incident

Samajwadi Party chief and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav has criticized the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government following the tragic incident in Farrukhabad where two teenage girls were found hanging from a tree in Bhagautipur village. Yadav accused the government of failing to maintain law and order, stating, “The government is sleeping and the law and order have become zero.”

Yadav highlighted that similar incidents have occurred in other cities across Uttar Pradesh, with crimes against women and daughters on the rise. He also mentioned that chain snatching and murders of businessmen are becoming more frequent.

Regarding the upcoming by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Yadav expressed confidence that the PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) coalition will defeat the BJP. He criticized the government for removing officers and filing false cases based on caste and religion, and noted that a complaint has been made to the Election Commission.

Meanwhile, the police have stated that the two girls in Farrukhabad died by suicide, based on post-mortem reports. Two suspects have been arrested for harassing the girls, which allegedly led to their suicide. However, the victims’ families suspect foul play, citing injuries and marks on the bodies, and are demanding a thorough investigation.

Chief Medical Officer Farrukhabad, Avanindra Kumar, confirmed that there was no evidence of sexual or physical assault on the girls.
