Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes BJP Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Bypolls
In Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a strong critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the Uttar Pradesh bypolls approach. Speaking at a public rally in Katehari Vidhan Sabha, Yadav claimed that the ‘voice of the Lucknow engine’ has changed with the upcoming elections. He accused the BJP of labeling Samajwadi members as ‘mafia and goons’ and criticized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Yadav promised that if the Samajwadi Party wins, schemes like Agniveer would be abolished, and permanent jobs in security forces would be provided to the youth. He emphasized the need to improve democratic institutions and increase public trust in the system, which he claims the BJP has damaged. He urged people to vote, comparing it to standing in queues during demonetization.
Yadav predicted that the BJP would be defeated in both the Maharashtra assembly elections and the UP bypolls. He mentioned a ‘collision’ between the central and UP governments, leading to issues like the lack of a DGP appointment in UP. The bypolls in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled for November 20, with results to be announced on November 23.
