On Sunday, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for the increasing road accidents in Uttar Pradesh. He accused the state government of neglecting road safety and traffic rule enforcement, focusing instead on “extortion” and “corruption.”

Yadav shared his concerns on social media, highlighting that Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of road accident fatalities. He urged residents to be cautious on roads affected by BJP’s alleged corruption.

Yadav listed several causes for the accidents, including broken roads, illegal vehicles, overspeeding, and ignored helmet rules. He also mentioned reckless driving, overloaded vehicles, and arbitrary parking as contributing factors.
